Bohol has many good things coming for 2011

Little by little hope is coming to Bohol. With so many projects on the planning platform, Boholanos will stop to be hungry and they will have more food on the table. We have reason to dream and those dreams will become realities in year 2011 The most important thing and with the cooperation of the authorities more food will be placed on our tables. But the efforts should not only come from the provincial authorities the prospective beneficiaries must also help.

I am a dreamer but somehow many of these dreams become realities.

What are the good things coming for Bohol. In terms of job opportunities, call centers will soon be available in the province. I hope they will establish a park where all call center facilities could be located. The provincial government can build ready facilities for call centers as an incentive for companies to just move in. Nobody knows how many workers could be accommodated but this could put in more money in circulation in Bohol and it has multiplier effect. We hope that the Department of Education will come out with a inexpensive low cost PC tablet and connect all schools to the Internet. This would be in addition to the Internet plazas which we proposed to be established in town plazas all over the province. Making our young folks exposed to the Internet would make them computer savvy. Besides, it exposes them to all sorts of knowledge helpful in  their educational development This would be a dramatic transformation of our educational system.

In addition, the use by the province of the so-called Bernido pedagogy would also help develop our children and become useful members of society. Breeding centers for sea-based fish varieties would enable our marginal fishermen improve their income.  Instead of dynamic fishing to augment their income, they could engage in fish culture of these sea-based different varieties of fish. The rapid development of our cooperatives in the province installing dynamic and innovative leaders in leading these cooperatives. Many products like raffia and jewelry should come out of these cooperatives. We can also improve our handicraft products. Upgrading of our tourism facilities, building more hotels and improving our tourist attractions like building a cable cars in the Chocolate Hills. Hopefully, oppositors will stop opposing the reclamation project in Panglao. These facilities would help increase job opportunities in the province and the flow of business. We should not be too naive to stop these projects.
