Alyssa Joy C. Requillo, daughter of Joel Requillo and Lisa Requillo of New Jersey, USA was selected to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine is a program reserved only for the highest-achieving students in the United States with an interest in and an aptitude for a career in medicine. She will take part in simulations and activities centered on a broad range of topics in the field including educational requirements to serve in the medical field, career options, clinical practice and ethical and legal issues facing the medical profession. This scholarship program will last for 10 days and will take place in 10 cities across the U.S. from which Alyssa will choose any one of the cities in which to attend the program. Alyssa is an incoming college student at the George Mason University from which the Forum of Medicine is in partnership with. Alyssa’s paternal roots come from Poblacion, Jagna. She is the granddaughter of the late Judge Pablo Requillo and Paulita Cuadra-Requillo.
