Bohol PNP leads in relief efforts for flood victims

The Philippine National Police Bohol Command is leading a massive relief operations to alleviate the suffering of flood victims in Metro Manila and some parts of Luzon. The local PNP has done its share in extending relief assistance to the flood victims following the meeting of the Regional Disaster Risk reduction and Management Council held Thursday in Cebu City. As part of its role in the relief efforts, all PNP stations throughout the province have been designated as drop off points for all donations whether in kind or cash. The Cebu meeting was in line with Task Force Tabang which the PNP has initiated in order to extend assistance to the victims. As this developed,, PNP Regional Director Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, Jr. directed Provincial Director Senior Supt. Constantino Paul Barot, Jr. to make the necessary preparations in connection with the relief operations. The local PNP was directed to provide the manpower component to take charge in receiving, accounting and delivery of relief goods and coordinate with the local Disaster Risk Reduction Council.
