Dumaluan pal in extort raps

AS if his political woes are not enough, a close ally of Panglao Mayor Dumaluan was accused of extorting money from a foreigner married to a filipina. The Panglao mayor suffered temporary setbacks courtesy of his political enemies after his resort was closed for environmental crimes and lately a temporary restraining order which stopped his suspension last December was lifted by the Court of Appeals However he still remains in ofice despite the lifting of the TRO. The mayor's Dumaluan Beach Resort was padlocked because it lacks ECC. This story broke into the open last week amidst the worsening. Full story

FOR more than years, the ownership issue of a resort in Panglao identified with Kagawad Leonila Montero remained a tightly-guarded secret. Until the political environment here simmered, then it forced to the open the lid of the tightly-kept secret. Now exposed, skeletons tumbled out in the open from the closets of Kag.
