Suspend order of Dumaluan upheld

THE Court of Appeals (CA) Special 20th Division has lifted the temporary restraining order (TRO) on the suspension issued by the Visayas Ombudsman against Panglao Mayor Doloreich Dumaluan. On the basis of the CA decision, the mayor will have to serve his three-month suspension as meted out by the Office of the Ombudsman-Visayas last December. Full story

Police files murder charges against 4 over Olayvar slay

TWENTY-seven days after receiving the order to seal the case against the assassins of erstwhile Hugpong sa Mag-uumang Bol-anon (Humabol) Chairman and Bohol Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (Bayan) Chairman Victor Olayvar, the task force assigned to handle the case filed murder charges against 3 notorious police characters and another case of accessory to murder to an “alleged” former member of the communist's New People's Army.  Full story
