141 Jagnaanons get recognitions

ILLUSTRIOUS sons and daughters of Jagna, about 141 of them who carved names and achieved goals in their own respective fields of endeavor got recognition by the Local Government Unit (LGU) through the Jagna Culture and the Arts Council (JCAC) chaired by Mayor Exuperio Lloren recently. Bohol Governor Erico Aumentado led the guests including 3rd District Congressman Eladio Jala and former University of the Philippines (UP) System President Dr. Francisco Nemenzo, PhD with UP Professor Emmanuel Luis Romanillos who was also present to grace in the launching of the Jagna Commemorative Book earlier during the program.

The occasion, considered first in the 375 years of Jagna's local history drew a big throng of observers coming from the different walks of life and likewise gave encouragement especially to the young wanting to achieve. "If only to dream a beautiful future without fulfilling is a nightmare. But these people greatly honored tonight because of their exemplary accomplishments in the different fields of endeavor based on the idea they had in mind while sleeping are genuine achievers and not ordinary dreamers", Gov. Aumentado said. "This big event marked a successful milestone in your celebration of the town fiesta and the commemoration of the 375th foundation day of this 3rd oldest settlement in Bohol . I hope other Municipalities will emulate your footsteps in this spirit", the Governor said. For his part Cong. Jala exulted the honorees and gave credit to the dynamic movers of the awarding rites.
