Passporting services come again to Bohol

STILL could not get that dream job here?

Local workers looking for a greener pasture beyond the blue expanse has at least a good thing for starters. For prospective Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and other overseas travelers, mobile Passport services comes here again July 15, 2006 at the Bohol Employment and Placement Office (BEPO), Capitol building, this city.

According to Mr. Romulo Tagaan, the head of BEPO, interested applicants are required to bring authenticated birth certificates, authenticated marriage contract (for married women), 3 pcs. Passport ID pictures, and other valid documents like valid ID, Transcript of Records (TOR), baptismal certificate, and the like. They would also be asked a processing fee of P750.00.

This service, sponsored by Provincial Government of Bohol under Gov. Erico Aumentado in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Regional Consular Office 7 has also been held here in Bohol in the past . Identified as part of the poverty alleviation efforts at giving Boholanos chances for work abroad, it also has allowed the government to be closer to the people. This also works perfectly in preparation for the upcoming overseas jobs fair on July 20-21, 2006 at the Bohol Quality Atrium, this city.
